Bringing TB Diagnostics Closer to Communities.
DriveDx4TB TOO is accelerating the introduction of innovative, decentralised TB diagnostic solutions to support earlier diagnosis and more equitable access to care in high-burden settings.
Led by the Aurum Institute with funding from Unitaid.
Behind every TB diagnosis is a person. This video series highlights the voices of communities, clinicians, researchers and survivors working to improve access to TB diagnosis and care.

Clinical Care
Millions of people with TB remain undiagnosed each year, particularly in high-burden settings, largely because current diagnostic tools do not meet the needs of every setting or patient population.
Without timely diagnosis, people cannot access treatment, contributing to ongoing transmission, preventable illness and loss of life.
From community screening to primary care clinics, hospitals, and reference laboratories, different use cases require different diagnostic solutions. A one-size-fits-all approach will not close the TB diagnosis gap.
Building a diverse portfolio of accessible, fit-for-purpose diagnostics is critical to finding people earlier, starting treatment sooner, and reducing transmission.
Bringing the introduction of innovative TB diagnostic technologies in real-world settings.
Evaluating multiple classes of TB diagnostic ecosystem across LC NAAT, NPOC and POC.
Supporting policy adoption, regulatory pathways and equitable access strategies.
Strengthening implementation approaches that support scale-up and sustainable access.
Connecting innovation, evidence and implementation to improve access to TB diagnosis globally.
Evaluating multiple classes of innovative TB diagnostic technologies.
Supporting strategies that improve affordability, availability and uptake.
Working with governments, civil society and global health partners.
Generating operational evidence that supports real-world adoption and impact.

By advancing next-generation diagnostics and strengthening access at community and primary care level, DriveDx4TB TOO is contributing to a more responsive and equitable TB response globally.

The evidence generated through the project will support policy adoption, accelerate implementation and improve access to life-saving TB diagnostics.
